Homework: Shirley Chisholm reflection

After watching "Chisholm '72: Unbought and Unbossed" in class, write a reflection of at least 300 words about one or more of the following prompts:

- What about Shirley Chisholm's run for president made it so revolutionary?  Would it be equally revolutionary today?  Why or why not?

- If Shirley Chisholm from 1972 was transported through time to 2016, could she have won the Democratic primary last year?  Why or why not?  Could she have become president last year?  Why or why not?

- Who are the Shirley Chisholms of 2017?  Research 3-4 women of color in politics and compare their policy positions to those of Shirley Chisholm.

- What effects have Shirley Chisholm's run for president had since 1972?

AP Test registration

AP exam registration is live!  https://sites.google.com/a/apps4pps.net/grant-ap-test-registration/?pli=1

Sign up anytime between now and Feb. 24.

More details below:

1.       All AP registrations must be complete by February 24^th

2.       Your teachers have access to practice exams through the AP web-site.

3.       Register for ALL your AP exams at the same time. 

4.       You should sign up for any world language tests first (because there will not be a makeup day)

5.       You can only register for ONE test per day because test locations are all over the city.  If you need to take two tests, you need to sign up for the late exam date (at no extra cost).  You will know if that is the case because you will not be able to select the other test.

6.       If you have questions, please talk to the counseling center.  Ms. Parman or April can answer questions.
